Steinbach is recognized worldwide for their intricately designed hand-carved wooden nutcrackers. They are also well known for their incense burning smokers. The family-owned German company was founded over two centuries ago and was bought to worldwide prominence in the 20th century by Herr Christian Steinbach who ran the company from 1947 until his death in 2007. After his death the job of running the company was taken over by Christian's daughter, Karla Steinbach, who also acts as their chief designer.
