The Prudent Collector was founded in 2007 with several objectives. One was to help you find the best prices on your favorite collectible items including porcelain figurines, sculptures, art glass, crystal, art pottery, jewelry and other decorative collectibles. Another was to attempt to keep you informed with interesting articles about your favorite collectibles and the companies and talented artists that produce them, as well as to provide you with collecting tips to help you enjoy your passion more thoroughly and affordably. In addition we enjoy the opportunity to introduce you to artists, up and coming as well as those that are well-established, that have caught our eye such as blown glass artists to name just one example. If we can introduce you to a previously unknown artist or manufacturer that you come to admire as a result it brings us great joy. We also do our best to keep you up to date with the latest news and interesting tidbits from the world of art and collectibles on our blog.
