His popularity continued to grow and eventually he began designing jewelry for Oscar de la Renta to use in his fashion shows. As years passed he continued to design new pieces which continued to be well received. In 1994 Jay began to experiment with his now world-famous picture frames fashioned from jewelry. In recent years he has moved into creating a wide array of beautiful home decor items. These include figurines, boxes, glass items and clocks.
