Correia Art GlassCorreia Art Glass is a family-owned glass studio located in Santa Monica, California. The artists at Correia Art Glass take great pride in expertly blending time-tested old-world glassblowing techniques and craftsmanship with the advantages offered by modern technology. The small studio was founded in 1973 by acclaimed glass artist Steven Correia. His works quickly gained popularity within the art world when his sister Patricia Correia introduced them to upscale retailers and art museums. Correia's exquisitely beautiful art glass perfume bottles, vases, paperweights, bowls and lamps are now highly sought after by collectors around the world. In 1989 Steven founded another studio, Correia Crystal, where he chose to focus his skill and talent on creating artistic objects and sculptures from the purest crystal. Correia Art Glass is now in the capable hands of his son and daughter. Algerine Correia is the president of the company as well as the chief designer while Jeffrey Correia continues to push the bounds of the glassblowing medium by building upon the techniques he learned from his father. Correia Art Glass holds the distinction of having works in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian Institution, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Chrysler Museum of Art and the Corning Museum of Glass.
