Ephraim Faience Pottery Vases & Bowls
Ephraim Faience Pottery was founded in rural Wisconsin by Kevin Hicks in July 1996. Kevin was a talented artist and he had grown increasingly dissatisfied with his work for a commercial pottery company due to the lack of creativity that the work entailed. He dreamed of creating works of a more aesthetic nature and in Ephraim Faience Pottery that dream was realized. The company quickly grew and expanded to add many more gifted artists.
The artists at the Ephraim Faience Pottery studio create art pottery inspired by the natural beauty of their rural Wisconsin surroundings. Every Ephraim Pottery creation is truly a collective effort as each original piece is a culmination of input from multiple artists. The artists take part in all areas of design and production including throwing, sculpting, glazing, decorating, and firing by hand. All pieces of Ephraim Faience pottery are created by hand - from the beginning of the process to the very end. Each bowl and vase is a unique creation. No more than 500 first-quality pieces of each design are created which adds to the rarity and collectivity of each piece!
The works of Ephraim Faience Pottery have appeared in many national and regional publications such as Architectural Digest, Better Homes and Gardens Home Plan Ideas, Old House Interiors, Stickley Style, Prairie Style, Arts & Crafts Designs for the Home, American Bungalow, Style 1900, Madison Magazine, Wisconsin Trails, North Park News, The Baltimore Sun, The San Diego Union Tribune, The Wisconsin State Journal and Country Living. As word spreads among art pottery collectors, Ephraim Pottery creations become increasingly more popular. Their beautiful works of art have captured the hearts of pottery collectors the world over!
