Cow Parade figurines are based upon a popular ongoing public art exhibit that has been held worldwide since 2000 in major cities such as Edinburgh, Boston, Paris and Moscow. The Cow Parade exhibit consists of life size fiberglass cow sculptures or statues which are painted and decorated by local artists. Both amateur and professional artists alike participate in these whimsical art shows. Each cow is decorated in a fashion which mirrors the principal local themes of the host city. At the conclusion of each exhibit the cows are auctioned off and the majority of the proceeds are donated to charity. Upcoming shows are scheduled to be held in Madrid, Taipei and Tokyo.
