M.I. Hummel Club FigurinesThe M.I. Hummel Club was founded in 1977 and was originally named the Goebel Collectors’ Club. By 1979 numerous small local chapters had popped up, allowing members to easily meet and socialize with nearby collectors and admirers of Goebel and Hummel figurines. As a result of the growing popularity of the club, conferences and conventions covering larger geographical areas were soon to follow in the early 1980's. In 1989 the club changed its name to the M.I. Hummel Club in order to better reflect the growing focus of club members on the Hummel family of collectibles instead of Goebel items. The club now boasts nearly 100,000 members around the world with the majority in Europe and North America. Membership in the M.I. Hummel Club comes with many benefits - most notably access to the club's exclusive figurines and other collectible items that are only offered to club members. For non-members the only way to acquire these member exclusive items is the secondary market.
