Pilchuck Glass School is holding their eagerly awaited 33rd annual auction on Friday, October 14. The auction will feature glass art creations from over 270 talented artists. The artists that will be featured at this auction represent a broad cross-section of the art glass community and will include both newly emerging glass artists and internationally acclaimed artists. The proceeds from Pilchick’s annual auctions allow the school to continue to provide education and scholarships to new glass artists as well as to offer residencies for established artists.
This year is also very special for Pilchuck Glass School as it marks their 40th anniversary! Since Pilchuck’s founding in 1971 by Dale Chihuly, Anne Gould Hauberg and John Hauberg, it has become an internationally recognized center for glass art education. We at the Prudent Collector congratulate Pilchuck on 40 years of exemplary work in the art education field and we wish them many more years of creativity and success!
