In 1992 Hallmark introduced their Kiddie Car Classics collection. These were scale models that accurately reproduced the classic children’s pedal cars that were popular during the mid-20th century. The collection also included models of children’s pedal planes, scooters, tricycles, and wagons of that era. These models were highly detailed reproductions fashioned from high-quality diecast metal. They quickly captured the imaginations of collectors that were looking for a connection to their beloved toys of yesteryear. They also proved to be a great way to introduce the younger generation to this piece of classic Americana.
Over the years the early models in the collection continued to increase in value as the collection gained popularity and today the first five models in the collection can command premium prices from collectors. These five models are referred to as the “Original 5” by collectors. They consist of the 1955 Murray Fire Truck, 1941 Murray Airplane, 1955 Murray Tractor and Trailer, 1955 Murray Champion, and the 1953 Murray Dump Truck. In addition to a wide variety of standard models Hallmark occasionally issued limited editions which have also steadily increased in value over time. Hallmark also released numerous Kiddie Car Classics Christmas ornaments. The Kiddie Car Classics collection is a favorite of Hallmark collectors and it’s easy to see why. They’re a nostalgic reminder of a bygone era in America’s history.

Hello, I have a question, can you tell me how many cars were made in the 4-5 in size? We collected the 8″, now we’d like to get the others, but don’t know how many there is. Thanks, Julie

I have everything produced by Hallmark . I have every box the cars came in with all paper work for each car. COA and all are in excellent conditions.
