The Frist Center for Visual Arts in Nashville, TN will host an exhibit of Dale Chihuly art glass installations beginning Sunday, May 9. The exhibit which is entitled “Chihuly at the Frist” will run until January 2, 2011. This exhibit will primarily consist of nine installations which were designed specifically for the Frist Center. The exhibit will also feature a wall of Chihuly’s drawings. In addition the documentary “Chihuly in the Hotshop” will be on continuous view throughout the exhibition.
Admission will be free on the opening day of the exhibit. Thankfully the Frist Center was spared from the terrible flooding which has affected many areas of the city this week. We urge all art lovers in the Nashville area to visit this wonderful exhibit on Sunday and get a welcome break from the weather.
