May 13, 2010 – The Longaberger Co., which dismissed president Robin Crossman last week, has no plans to hire a replacement to run the day-to-day operations of the company. The president’s duties will be shared by Chief Executive Officer Tami Longaberger and her management team, consisting of the six vice presidents.
“They’re an experienced team, one that plays a very key role in helping to manage the day-to-day and advise Tami in their areas of expertise,” company spokesman Tom Matthews said. “Tami has confidence in them and really looks to them to support her.
Tami Longaberger made the change, the company stated, because she was dissatisfied with the company’s performance of late. Crossman’s dismissal continues the recent pattern of short stays for Longaberger presidents. The company has made six presidential changes in seven years since Tami Longaberger served as president from 1994 to 2004. The current setup, with Tami Longaberger and the management team running day-to-day operations, will continue for an undetermined length of time, Matthews said.
