Some of the most popular and very collectible M.I. Hummel figurines are the larger pieces that Goebel produced over the years. One excellent example of these large figurines is Hummel #348 Ring Around The Rosie. This figurine features 4 little girls playing the classic game of “Ring Around The Rosie”. The older TMK 2 & 3 pieces range in height from 6-3/4″ to 7″. Later versions were all 6-3/4″ tall. The figurine was originally designed by Gerhard Skrobek in 1957 but was not actually manufactured for sale until 1960. It was released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hummel figurines. As you can see in the examples below it is a rather beautiful figurine and a wonderful example of the Hummel style.
