After nearly 1-1/2 years since they closed their doors Waterford Crystal is firing up their furnace once again. On June 22, 2010 Waterford opened their new visitor center, retail outlet and manufacturing facility close to where they began producing fine crystal over 200 years ago in Waterford, Ireland.
Waterford’s new center will employ 79 full-time and 33 part-time staff along with up to 40 temporary employees during peak season. Waterford’s new incarnation is the result of a partnership between KPS Capital Partners, who purchased the Waterford Crystal brand last year, and the Waterford City Council.
