The Newark Museum is holding a rare exhibition of its collection of art pottery in commemoration of its Centennial. The pottery collection began with an exhibition in 1910, just one year after the museum was founded by John Cotton Dana. The museum’s art pottery collection has been exhibited as a collection just twice in the past 25 years. If you’re in Newark make sure you do not miss this important exhibition – 100 Masterpieces of Art Pottery – 1880-1930. The exhibit runs through January 10, 2010. The full details of the exhibition are here.
