Sept. 8, 2010 – The Longaberger Co. celebrated the grand opening of their new Longaberger Factory Store in Newark, OH today.
The new store features handcrafted Longaberger baskets, pottery and wrought iron along with numerous other home and lifestyle products including dinnerware and candles.
The 5,000 square-foot store is the third factory store for Longaberger, which operates its primary factory store in its basket-making facility at Longaberger Homestead near Frazeysburg, OH and a satellite location inside Boyds Bear Country in Gettysburg, Pa. All of the products in the factory store are either retired from the main product line or featured at Longaberger Homestead.
“We’ve enjoyed tremendous success with the factory store at our own facility and in partnership with Boyds Bear,” CEO Tami Longaberger said in a press release. “Opening this new store in a high-traffic retail center creates tremendous opportunities to introduce the Longaberger brand to a broad range of customers and potential home consultants.”
