Glass Artist Rich Lamothe Accepted Into Stanford Who’s Who

Rich Lamothe has earned his way among the ranks of Stanford Who’s Who for his outstanding effort in the art of glass work. As the Owner of Glass Strategies for the past 5 years, he has displayed the skill and dedication needed to be successful.

Lamothe started with sandblasting and etched glass projects in 1986 for a company called Cristalum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He worked for them until 1988 when he moved on to Savoy Studios in Portland, OR where he continued with sandblasting and also worked on laminated glass projects until 2000. While an employee of Savoy Studios he was promoted to Production Manager of the Etching Department.

Rich was also the Manager of the Etching Department for Moonshadow Etchers in Sandy, OR from 2000-2001. From there he continued forward to Elite Glass Works in Portland where he managed and ran the V-Groover, CNC Machine, Glass Cutting tables, Bevellers and Sandblasting booth until 2006.

Along the way, he forged ahead to create his own business in 2002. Glass Strategies is recognized as having one of the most advanced and energy efficient glass laminating methods in the world. Their expertise and services include laminating glass to glass, safety lamination, art glass lamination, glass lights, glass floors, bullet resistant and hurricane proof glass. Lamothe is affiliated with the Glass Art Society and has been featured in articles from Glass Magazine.
