Dale Chihuly will be giving a free lecture at Cal Poly on Monday Nov 30. Chihuly’s lecture, which will feature video clips and a question-and-answer period, is the first in a series presented by Cal Poly Arts. “Dale has always been a very innovative and progressive individual,” said retired art professor George Jercich who taught at Cal Poly for three decades. “He’s so good at organizing teams of people. He’s a very dynamic individual. He has a lot of charisma. He’s also very talented, all those things he’s been able to put together in his long career.”
In addition a reception will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the San Luis Obispo Art Center, 1010 Broad St. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served during a meet-and- greet with Mr. Chihuly. The reception price is $60 per person and includes premium seating in the first four rows for the 8 p.m. lecture in Spanos Theatre.
Lecture Location: Spanos Theatre, Performing Arts Center, 1 Grand Ave., San Luis Obispo Art Center
The lecture will begin at 8 p.m. and there is no charge to attend.
